Next Onitsuka Chihiro single arrives in September

Onitsuka Chihiro releases a new single titled "Bokura Barairo no Hibi" on Sept. 19. I saw this news posted on Oops Music a few weeks ago, and CD Japan listed it in a recent e-mail. The coupling track for the single is titled "NOW", according to Onitsuka’s label site. That’s pretty much all the information available through official channels. I haven’t seen any mention of it on Bounce or any additional details, save for production work by Kobayashi Takeshi.

Not Chihiro-related at all, but she’s similar enough –
Sasagawa Miwa has pretty much left avex and returned to the indies scene.
It’s a pretty amicable break-up, though – she wrote a lengthy blog entry about it in her new blog, but the brief summary of it is that like Cocco, she too came to realise she loved music, and decided she needed more space and time to grow and develop as an artist.
Her current official homepage will stay open till 16th August; her new blog’s at
I just hope her music can retain its current quality arrangement-wise; I can’t really take the dated synth sound of her older indies work.

I wonder what kind of distribution her future releases are going to have. CDJapan is spotty when it comes to stocking indie releases, YesAsia even more so. I’m hesitant to buy from Amazon Japan now that international economy shipping is history.

Hmmm. How about They’re pretty consistent, and their EMS shipping isn’t all that expensive – more decent than’s, at any rate.
